Multi-Tasking

I think that this article is interesting, especially for all of us who are trying to get last minute studying in for all of our finals...it turns out all of our cramming may not be worth it...http://www.apa.org/releases/multitasking.html

yeah, you are right about the studying. most people do much worse when they try to study a lot of different matierial at one time. also, other than studying, other things can't be done in conjunction with other people. for example, a lot of people have a very hard time talking on the phone and doing something else at the same time. for some reason, our brains cannot focus attention on more than one thing? Why can some people do more than one thing at the same time better than other people can?

I read an article about this in the New York Times about a month ago. There is still debate about this topic though, so it's not set in stone that cramming is worthless.
